In February 2015 an international jury selected a total of 13 promising projects from a large number of entries for the PRIZE prototype funding programme of the Ministry of Economy, the Family and Youth/Bundesministerium für Wirtschaft, Familie und Jugend. One of the two projects chosen from among the entries of the University of Vienna was the research platform Translational Cancer Therapy Research. Christian Kowol, Petra Heffeter, Bernhard Keppler und Walter Berger will receive funding amounting to € 145.000 for their work on tyrosine‐kinase inhibitor and the reduction of side effects of chemotherapy.
